In accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 [ Public Law 93-579 ], this notice informs you of the purpose of this data collection and how the collected data will be used.Â Please read it carefully.Â

AUTHORITY:Â 10 U.S.C. 133, 275, 503, 504, 508, 510, 672, 1071-1087, 1168, 1475-1480, 1553, 5013,; and E.O. 9397Â

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE:Â Information collected will be used to:Â [ 1 ] help determine the eligibility andÂ compatibility between individuals interested in potentially pursuing a career as a Navy Sea Air Land [ SEAL ], or Navy Special Warfare [ NSW ] Combatant Craft Crewman [ SWCC ] operator; [ 2 ] enable the Navy SEAL & SWCC Scout Team to provide appropriate career and training preparation information to prospective Navy SEAL recruits; and, [ 3 ] enable the Navy SEAL & SWCC Scout Team to better allocate limited resources in establishing relationships with the Naval Special Warfare community and prospective candidates.Â

ROUTINE USES:Â Information from this database will not be shared outside of the Department of the Navy.Â

RETENTION:Â In accordance with the authority, purpose, and approved routine uses, records will be maintained until the prospective recruit becomes age ineligible for Naval Special Warfare programs [ age 28 ] or the prospective recruit chooses to opt-out of receiving further information and asks to be removed from the database.Â On request or age ineligibility the records for those individuals will be destroyed.Â

DISCLOSURE:Â Providing information is strictly voluntary.Â

The Navy SEAL & SWCC Scout Team does not share this information with any person or other Federal agency unless pursuant to exceptions listed in the Privacy Act.Â All information collected will be stored on the Navy SEAL & SWCC Scout Team designated servers which are located in a secure location maintained by InfusionSoft.Â Access to the database containing individualâ€™s records will be controlled and restricted by the Navy SEAL & SWCC Scout Team through UserID permission levels.Â Only two individuals within the Navy SEAL & SWCC Scout Team will have UserID and permission to access the data.Â
